Founded in 1999, Valley Hospitality has a rich history of hospitality & event management and both on property, and off-site catering. Founded in 1999, VHS is one of the oldest event management and catering providers in Columbus, Georgia.

Nestled on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, our 115-year-old mill is the perfect location for your next special occasion. We have a dedicated staff with more than 20 years of experience on site to make sure every detail of your event is perfect. Our staff is with you every step of the way from planning your event, picking out a menu tailored just for you, helping choose quality preferred vendors, and anticipating your every need. All you need to do is plan to have a great time; we’ll take care of the rest!

1902

Bibb Mill Village was born including the original mill and 100 mill houses for workers.

1920

The mill was further expanded making the complex more than 1 million square-feet. It would become one of the largest in the South, producing more than all other Columbus mills combined.

1940’s

Due to World War II, Bill Mill expanded further to support production of tires for the war.

1998

After almost a century of operation, the entire Bibb Manufacturing Company closed its doors. The last day of operation was March 20, 1998

2003

Bibb Mill was reborn as Rivermill Antique Mall, later becoming Columbus’ premiere event venue, the Rivermill Event Center.

2008

Over 100 years of history was lost when the original part of the Bibb Mill, went up in flames and burnt to the ground, only leaving the front façade.

2009

The Garden’s were created from part of the previous Mill, creating some of Columbus’ best breathtaking views of the Chattahoochee River.

Lindsay joined the Valley Hospitality team as an Assistant General Manager of the Fife and Drum restaurant in 2007, located in the National Infantry Museum. Since then, she has advanced and refined her skills as an event planner, designer and executer and is now responsible for developing the individual catering departments at each of our local venues and the Rivermill Event Center.

Senior Events Manager at Rivermill Event Center

Katy joined the Valley Hospitality team as a Banquet Bartender in June 2012 at the National Infantry Museum. Shortly after working there she was promoted to Banquet Captain and then to Banquet Manager by 2014 at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel.  She now is the Senior Events Manager at Rivermill Event Center.
